Anal fistulas, fissures, hemorrhoids, and anorectal disorders: Scientific responses to long-neglected pain
Tangier – Royal Tulip City Center – June 12, 13 & 14, 2025
Dr Anwar CHERKAOUI
The Northern Morocco Surgeons’ Association, in partnership with the Mediterranean Society of Coloproctology, is hosting a major international medical event in Tangier on June 12–14, 2025, at the prestigious Royal Tulip City Center Hotel.
This global meeting on continuing medical education focuses on anorectal diseases and will bring together leading international experts in colorectal and proctologic surgery.
The program includes interactive masterclasses, hands-on workshops, and live surgery broadcasted from the University Hospital of Tangier, allowing real-time interaction with world-renowned surgeons. The congress also offers a unique platform for knowledge exchange between Moroccan doctors and international specialists.
The goal is clear: to strengthen the continuous training of Moroccan physicians, enabling them to adopt the latest therapeutic innovations — including laser technology, minimally invasive techniques, botulinum toxin injections, endoanal ultrasound, and pelvic MRI — and to better diagnose conditions too often minimized or stigmatized.
Behind words like "fistula," "fissure," or "hemorrhoids" lies a deep, silent suffering, surrounded by unjust shame. These conditions disrupt daily life, strain family and social relationships, and impair professional performance.
Now is the time to break the silence, lift the stigma, and provide modern, effective, and compassionate care.
This congress is a scientific and human response to hidden pain — a call for a dynamic, connected medicine that prioritizes the real comfort and dignity of patients.
